Sources & Methodology

Al-Zaman derives its temporal-hour model from location, time zone, solar positions, and the selected day-division system.

Prayer times are calculated locally and may be refined by a prayer-time service when available, with time-zone agreement checked before the network result is used.

The Hijri date is displayed using the Umm al-Qura calendar. The actual beginning of a Hijri month may differ according to local crescent determination or official announcements.

Solar and lunar information is computational, while compass accuracy depends on the device sensors, calibration, and local magnetic interference.
